There is no stronger case that can be made for my Impeach Them All article than the President himself. He is delusional and/or a liar with no shame. As the campaign season heats up, his pathological tendencies become exaggerated. If you want to see an energy crisis, hook Obama to a polygraph any time he appears in public. The device would drain the grid as it attempted to keep pace with the fabrications.
Equally disgraceful is the mainstream media. They are either brain-dead or so deeply invested with this man-child that they have chosen to go all in for his re-election. Surely they cannot be so ignorant or ideological as to believe what Obama spews. I suspect they ignore his serial “whoppers” in an attempt to aid his re-election.
Perhaps George Orwell’s vision is upon us:
In our age there is no such thing as ‘keeping out of politics.’ All issues are political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred and schizophrenia. The very concept of objective truth is fading out of the world. Lies will pass into history.
The media can help Obama with the dumb vote. By the “dumb” vote, I refer to those who can’t name the Vice-President, in which century the Revolutionary War was fought, how many branches of government there are and a host of similar questions. Come to think of it, that is precisely Obama’s constituency and his strategy. Promise more to the takers, lie to the ignorant, cozy up with the rich and race-bait for the ethnic vote is a good summary of his campaign strategy.
That strategy can work only with a compliant media running interference for him. It works if the mainstream media prostitutes themselves by not calling out his hypocrisy and lies.
While that strategy might win for Obama, media assistance is suicidal for the media. By overwhelming margins, the public now believe them to be biased. It shows in their declining ratings.
This suicide will not be mourned by the American public, especially the large portion that has already abandoned tradtional media. Their plunging market share is due as much to integrity as technology issues.
Perhaps matters are changing when Politico refers to Obama’s budget as “borderline delusional.” Perhaps media are getting cold feet as it becomes harder and harder to support this wacko candidate. I would like to believe so, although I think the two are joined at the hip.

Obama’s 2013 Budget: A Monument To Irresponsibility

Financial Ruin: What do you call a budget that boosts spending $227 billion, adds $329 billion to an already huge deficit, and does nothing to fix the entitlement crisis? If you’re President Obama, it’s called “fiscal responsibility.”
In the message Obama attached to his 2013 budget, he claimed that he’s “taken many steps to reestablish fiscal responsibility.”
But his budget is a colossal monument to irresponsibility, continuing a deficit-fueled spending spree that will take the country ever closer to fiscal ruin.
Just how big is this budget’s spending splurge? Among other things:
• It increases projected federal spending for this year and next by a total of $227 billion, and adds $329 billion to projected deficits for those years.
• It includes another $315 billion in stimulus spending this year and next, despite the abject failure of the last stimulus, and claims by Obama himself that the economy is already on the mend.
• It spends a stunning $2.7 trillion more over the next decade than the Congressional Budget Office’s “baseline” projections.
• It produces nearly $7 trillion in total deficits over the next decade, despite claims by Obama that he’s cutting the deficit by $4 trillion.
Obama also claims his budget enacts “a wide range of mandatory savings,” including “more than $360 billion in reforms to Medicare, Medicaid, and other health programs over 10 years.”But his own budget numbers show he barely makes a scratch in overall entitlement spending, trimming a tiny $23 billion over the next decade compared with his “baseline” projections.
By doing so, Obama ignored the warnings of every serious budget expert — including his own bipartisan debt commission — that without meaningful entitlement reforms the nation’s fiscal crisis will never be resolved. In fact, Obama has categorically ruled out any serious entitlement reform ideas.
Obama also says his budget plan will “strengthen our economy and boost job creation,” but it contains a $1.5 trillion tax hike on businesses and investors most likely to actually grow the economy and create those jobs.
It would also more than double the dividend tax rate on the wealthy, boost the capital gains tax to 20%, raise income tax rates on families making more than $250,000, impose a new minimum tax on millionaires, and hike taxes on the oil and gas industry, among others.
Obama’s budget message is misleading in other ways. He claims to have inherited a $1.3 trillion deficit, and “a projected 10-year deficit of more than $8 trillion.”
But that’s simply false. In January 2009, the Congressional Budget Office projected a 2009 deficit of $1.2 trillion for that year, and a 10-year total of $3 trillion.
He also claims ObamaCare will cut federal deficits by $1 trillion over the next 20 years. But that’s based on a CBO calculation that even it says is meaningless “because the uncertainties involved are simply too great.”
If this is what Obama considers being responsible, is it any wonder the country is in such dire straits?
One can only argue that Obama’s Budget is a Monument to Irresponsibility by positing that it is a result of incompetence. I continue to believe that the facts do not support that conclusion. I believe it to be entirely intentional. Consciously and deliberately intentional.
I just reread my March 2010 post, Obama’s Plan and find it to be as rational an explanation of Obama’s behavior, as when I wrote it.
As an addendum to that post I would only add that should Obama be reelected, which given current pole results seems increasingly possible, and an economic collapse happens during the next 4 years, (almost certain) I do not believe that ultimately, Obama will be able to achieve his goals, despite the martial law that would of necessity be imposed. Europe’s coming disintegration is going to make selling increased Socialism to the US public problematic at best. When push comes to shove, American’s will no more accept the tyranny of the left than they would of the right.
Obama and his administration’s radical subordinates are all like kids in a candy store. Perpetually locked into their freshman or sophomore liberal university mindset they are giddy with power. It must amaze them that all that they have ever dreamed of is now in their control. They make proposals and regulations that are right off the liberal marxist destroy America shelf.
They are convinced that their moment in history is now. America with its vast reservoir of ill gotten wealth can create the dreamed of socialist utopia. No more pollution, no more opiate (religion) for the people, no moral restraints. It is payback time and the downtrodden, all minorities (non-white men), can now have their revenge for centuries or millennia of oppression.
