The contagion continues to spread. Europe probably will participate this summer.
The US hasn’t started quite yet, although Wisconsin might be a spark. It is difficult to feel sorry for public unions when they obviously make more than non-public employees doing the same job. They will likely try to precipitate unrest, but the real issues are not likely to hit the US until governments begin laying off people, cutting benefits and perhaps are unable to send out checks. My guess, and it is purely that, is a year from this summer.
One hopes it doesn’t happen, but it appears inevitable. When matters erupt, I sure wouldn’t want to be a politician seen to be responsible.
