The following is an email from a reader:

“…the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.” -   Winston Churchill on Islam

Orianna Fallaci described Islam as a “stagnant pond”, and for that she was sued, threatened and chased out of Europe.  Yet, through all of this, she was quite correct.  Unable to develop, evolve and progress, it asphyxiates every society where it is the dominant social force.

Below Lt. Col Zumwalt describes Islam and its inevitable impact upon society and the citizens shackled by this political ideology.

“Through generations, Islam has shown itself to be completely resistant to modern exegesis.  This is understandable given that the entire text, according to tradition, is literally a dictation from God.  Regretfully it has also become ossified.”

Keep in mind, these are matters causing considerable stress and friction as a totally inflexible 7th century world view butts up against modernity.  Too often demands for tolerance toward Islam have translated into having western society bend to the dictates, social customs, and legal mores of Islam.  Europe now has entire cities with two officially recognized, but totally separate legal systems – Secular and Sharia.  Here in the United States, there have been several instances already where the judge has allowed the use of Islamic legal principles to guide adjudication.

That is a distinction I wish to strongly impress upon the reader.  Islam is not a religion as we understand religion in the west. It is a political, social, legal, religious and cultural framework for society.  If Islam teaches anything, it is that these elements cannot, under any circumstance, be disengaged from each other.  Anyone attempting such separation is estranged from orthodoxy and typically has their head separated from their neck.

That leads us to another unnerving issue:  Just how does one define a “good Muslim”?  Are “good Muslims” peaceful because of Islam, or in spite of it?  Or rather, are they, from the vantage point of Sharia Law, actually apostates?  Tough questions which are most uncomfortable to ask, but so far they have not been convincingly answered.

With his commentary, the reader included Lt. Col. Zumwalt’s piece, When Good Muslims Go Bad.

One Response to “Islam — A Culture of Asphyxiation”

  1. A BBC investigation found that Saudi-funded schools in London were using texts where is asked to children to list the “reprehensible” qualities of Jewish people. A text for younger children asks what happens to someone who dies who is not a believer in Islam – the answer given in the text book is “hellfire”. Another text describes the punishment for gay sex as death and states a difference of opinion about whether it should be carried out by stoning, burning with fire or throwing the person over a cliff. In a book for 14-year-olds, Sharia law and its punishment for theft are explained, including detailed diagrams about how hands and feet of thieves are amputated.
BBC has also found evidence of extreme views on some private, full-time Muslim school websites, including messages that state: “Our children are exposed to a culture that is in opposition to almost everything Islam stands for” and “We need to defend our children from the forces of evil”.
When I read things like that I am really scared about future, they do not even have to fight us. You know what they say: we will invade you with our women womb.
