Economics in One Lesson, by Henry Hazlitt, is a book that should be required reading for every high school student. The book is easily read and beautifully written and should be understandable at the eighth grade, if we had a properly functioning school system. To not understand what is discussed in this book is to condemn one to ignorance about life and how the world works.
The book was published in 1946 and is as relevant today as when written it was written. Indeed, it is much better than virtually anything written today. For non-economists who desire to understand what economics truly is, read this book. It is available at the Mises Institute at a very low price.
Read this to understand why virtually everything proposed by so-called economists is fallacious. Watch the video to understand how others were influenced.
