This photo appeared in the New York Times with the following caption:

President Lee Myung-bak of South Korea, with his wife, Kim Yoon-ok, helped position President Obama for a photo on Thursday.

I found it to be somewhat symbolic of the Obama Presidency at this stage and a possible source of great humor for those clever enough to add their own captions.

Here are a few that came to mind:

  • President of South Korea sets up Obama while stagehands set up teleprompters.
  • Cameras catch Puppetmaster positioning Dummy.
  • Can’t you tell I am a natural athlete merely by the way I carry myself?
  • I never knew I was pigeon-toed.
  • Perhaps I shouldn’t have had that last drink.
  • Look, I have four legs and four hands.

I have no doubt that some readers can do much better. Send in your improvements as comments.

  5. Or perhaps –

EXTRA EXTRA! President Obama strikes a familiar symbolic pose in South Korea, as Americans prepare to take it in the rear on Free Trade!

  6. President Obama prepares to bend over for the sake of free trade with South Korea! What are we buying now, Mr. Prez? Petroleum Jelly?

  7. Chris is that you?

  8. Hurry up and hook up the strings, I’m tired of holding up this dummy!
