Today’s Daily Rasmussen Presidential Tracking Report showed President Obama only 1 point from his lowest rating:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 25% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-five percent (45%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -20 (see trends). The number who Strongly Disapprove is just one point below the highest level yet recorded for this president. Just over half of all men (51%) Strongly Disapprove. Just 40% of women share that view.
I have to say
That I also think its appalling that so many people:usa citizens don’t see this calamity
I blame the media
People are busy and many rely on news to warn them of calamities
Also:ten years of anti bush hysteria clouded all the issues and truth was lost
At best citizens are confused:but really
One does wonder……
I read these polls differently. We have a large number of people, drawn–curiously–from opposite spectrums of literacy and income, for whom there is apparently no level of pain that will become a teaching moment. Or, if there is even a level of resignation in which repairs can begin, we have not reached it.
James,
Point well taken. I can only fall back on H. L. Mencken: “No one in this world has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby.”
