If there is nothing else you read this year, read this from American Spectator. It is about the Ruling Class versus the rest of us.
It is a long read, but it will provide great reward and understanding for those who do read it. It will explain much of what has happened and why. For those who are puzzled as to why citizens no longer count, this article explains it. It also casts light on why a Republican victory in November is unlikely to produce the necessary change.

How quickly we understand a problem determines when we can even begin addressing it. Our problem is the Republican enabler of omnipotent government. This is what we can own to, and all that we can own to. Expecting to effect change in any other way politically is exactly the delusion that benefits the left. If the country is to be returned to something that resembles it’s origins, it will happen with a fuller and broader understanding, and suddenly, not by increments. My disgust for McCain is greater than for Obama, because Obama knows what he is doing. Conservatives most certainly do not. Many people now understand that much, and this is progress. I do not know what I am doing, but I know what I am no longer doing.
I just think its such a great pity that we are now in this dreadfull position of standing to fall as a western civilization

Please apply more of the above shown vitriol toward the Democrat Party, which is currently conducting a Revolution and YOU are their sworn enemy. Until people grow up and point the rifles in the right direction we are destined to be under the thumb of the Democrat machine.
The Republican party needs to be decapitated and then grow a new head with some sense in it. That will be a years long project.
Not sure heads can be grown that quickly. Nor is there any guarantee it won’t be as bad as the one that was removed.
I take it James Wilson is advocating we all vote Democrat in November so the Obama policies will be vomited, after the Democrats renew the power positions of Pelosi and Harry Reid. So the idea is to vote Democrat until the entire country is destroyed and the Federal Government is all powerful and controls all the guns. I don’t care what Chesterton said. This idea is not a good one.
I agree with Angelo Codevilla that there is no choice now but to work through the Republican Party, but to do it intelligently and to always choose conservatives over moderate Republicans. I believe it is better to try to preserve some of our institutions, like the Constitution. It will be harder to recreate once lost.
Not only is a Republican victory in November unlikely to provide a change, it is absolutely necessary if the advances of the left are going to be digested, and not vomited.

A Republican is someone who helps disguise the true nature of our advanced democratic state. His goal is to make the state work properly. It does not occur to him that it is working properly. He therefore labors cheerfully as a tool for his enemies.
