Liberalism is Imploding

“Liberalism, as we have known it for decades, is on the defensive. With the welfare state unsustainable, it has nowhere to turn and its adherents are turning tail in every direction. They are mad and they are, in many cases, unmoored. Lifetime ideologies are beginning to crumble. Personality constructs are at risk.”
So says Roger L. Simon of PajamasMedia.   The Culture Wars are turning is an insightful piece of how liberalism and all it stands for is collapsing. Some of its adherents are coming undone as the unworkability of the dream unfolds. When one has invested one’s life in a false dream based on feelings rather than reality and hope rather than facts, the only defense appears to be irrationality.
One only hopes that their version of Heaven destructs before it plunges the rest of us deeper into our version of Hell.

  1. Sounds very much like wishful thinking to me.

    • Liberalism is imploding. Whether it implodes in a manner that enables us to return to the vision of the Founding Fathers or something akin to the old totalitarian Soviet Union is the issue.
