Health Care: The Last Straw For A Weakened Camel

depress

Our country is going into hard times as a result of the economic mismanagement by the Federal Government and the Federal Reserve over the last three decades. There is no way to avoid a serious recession (most likely a depression) or an inflationary holocaust. Which outcome occurs depends upon the choices made by our government. Whatever the government chooses or stumbles into, the country is in for a decade or more of pain and underperformance. That is the good news!
The bad news is that, despite this mess, the Administration will pass health care “reform.” Not only will it destroy our current, albeit imperfect, health care system (which is still the envy of the rest of the world), it will destroy our country. Without this reform, we will be lucky to come through the economic mess with our country and government intact. With it, the possibilities are quite small. At best, we survive and muddle forward as a crippled version of our former selves. A not unreasonable expectation might be to survive as England did from WWII up until 1980. The former world’s superpower was reduced to almost third-world economic status as a result of socialism. While it eventually threw off much of the baggage of socialism, it has never returned to even a shadow of its former greatness.
